The Flowmaster winning streak ended in Cleveland due to a 2nd place finish.  The boat hit something in the water and ended the race early giving Snakeman his first win against us.  We observed a lot of debris in the water each day and suspect we hit a piece of a tree.  Cleveland was rough on a lot of boats as 24 of 85 didn't finish!

The Cleveland race debuted Todd's newest toy "The Beast", "Todd's Tonka Truck" or whatever you want to call it.  It got a lot of attention in the pits and driving around downtown Cleveland.  It's a custom built Ford F650 with CAT diesel.  Todd had a dually bed and air ride suspension installed.  Keep watching for future developments!

Todd and family (wife Michele and sons Tyler and Brandon) towed the boat from St. Petersburg to Cleveland, with Mike and Leslie flying in for the race.  Mike's and Leslie's neighbor Scott Pownall was in town visiting relatives and assisted at the race site on Sunday.  The truck and boat were left in Cleveland at Todd's uncle Bob and aunt Jeanne's house to await repairs and the road trip to Canada.

Cleveland had the first in-water boat parade!  This was interesting as the boats, loaded with crew, drove from the pits to the host bar Dick's Last Resort and also to Shooter's.  The Flowmaster boat wasn't able to participate in the boat parade as Todd took his son Tyler to the doctor for an earache.  But Mike and Leslie rode along with the Zipp Express crew and had a good time.  Cleveland is different from our area in that their bridges don't open, they go up and down like an elevator.  Everywhere you look you see bridges, bridges, bridges.  They really have an active waterfront, with lots of bars and restaurants, at least during the good weather months!

As we have in the past, we hung out with the Zipp Express crew.  They've started to get mischievous as we found "I LOVE ZIPP EXPRESS" on the back window of the topper!  Next came our Flowmaster stickers on their dually and boat!

Todd and Mike would like to thank their crew for this race, Leslie Fox-Anderson with assistance from Scott Pownall.
